FDA does not plan to take drastic measures to get rid of all orange juice products packaged from the store. But the FDA immediately conduct tests to protect public health. This is due to the sale of bottled orange juice globally reached a record high. Until now, Brazil and Florida recorded the largest producer of orange juice packaging in the world.

FDA (Food and Drug Administration) released a letter to the company related to the discovery of orange juice processing carbendazim in orange beverage packaging. Carbendazim is a fungicide containing chemicals to destroy the fungus pests on plants.

Under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act in the United States spraying carbendazim to the citrus crop is against the law. But recently the FDA found traces of carbendazim in the juice. Fungsida is identified in bottled orange juice products that have not been marketed.

As reported by Medicalnewstoday, the latest findings carbendazim found in orange juice products packaged in Brazil. Carbendazim does not currently banned in Brazil because of its population still use a fungicide to protect crops from fungal black spot.
