The greater the satisfaction of one's life, the smaller is also the possibility of a heart attack. The research was conducted involving8000 Harvard scientists working in the UK.
Respondents were asked to answer seven questions about their daily lives, among them, relationships, jobs, their income, familyand sex. They were asked to value the level of satisfaction of a scale of 1 to 7.
After that, the researchers see their medical records during the last 6 years. They look at whether these respondents had pain in their chest, have heart problems, and blockage of blood vessels.
The result, researchers have found they are satisfied the risk ofcardiovascular disease is smaller. The key to healthy heart is thesatisfaction in work, family, and sex.
"With these results, psychological factors are very important forone's health condition," said the head of the study, Julia Boehm, of the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, USA. The research was published in the medical journal European Heart Journal onJuly 4, 2011.
