Fish consumption's advised for women health
Women are advised to eat cod, salmon, herring, and mackerel are all high in omega-3 fatty acids are believed to protect against heart disease and blood vessels.
ACCORDING TO a study in Denmark, women of childbearing age can reduce the risk of heart problems by regularly eating fish and fish oil supplements instead.
This is the first study that focuses on the young women 15-49 years of age and determine whether the fish have a real impact on the risk of heart problems.
For example, those who rarely or never ate fish turned out to potentially 50 percent had cardiovascular problems in the next eight years than those who eat fish regularly.
Women who rarely or never ate fish to face 90 percent higher risk of experiencing heart problems than those who ate fish every week. Results were obtained after different assessment over a period of 30 weeks. They found the risk was three times higher in women who ate no fish.

The findings are published in the journal Hypertension: Journal of the American Heart Association, based on a Danish study of 49 thousand women. They were interviewed by telephone about family history, lifestyle, and consumption of fish for eight years.
"We see a strong association between fish consumption and cardiovascular disease in women who are still in their 30s," Marin said Strom, lead investigator at the Center for Fetal Programming at Statens Serum Institut in Copenhagen, Denmark.
"The biggest challenge in getting the health message like this to the younger population is that usually benefits may not be apparent for 30 or 40 years, but our research shows this is not happening."
