artificial eyes for the blind

This is very progressive in health.  All is because of artificial eyes for the  blind

British scientists did a great breakthrough in the medical world with the potential to find a way to make a blind could see again because of artificial eyes.

Last year, scientists from University College London to try to replace damaged cells in the retina of mice with an artificial retina or artificial eyes.

Further studies will be conducted to ensure that the treatment can restore human vision.

The retina is formed from embryonic stem cells taken from the eyes of mice. The cells then grow into the retina after being mixed with vitamins and protein. Formation process takes four months.

Thereafter, the retina at the back of the eye injected mice.

To prove the results of the study, rats were then allowed to swim in the pool. As a result, the mice fed the artificial retina can swim way out. While that is not, can only swim in circles.

Professor Robin Ali, the leader of the study, said it is not possible for people to feel the same magic.
Treatment by transplantation of artificial retinal cells can certainly be applied to human cases.

However, to get maximum results, treatment in humans could take five years.
"This is great progress," as quoted by the Daily Mail, Monday (22/07/2013).
He expects the discovery to treat disorders of vision due to degeneration of factors experienced by both men and women.
