Whole city rejects pure water

Concord-Whole city rejects pure water. the City of Concord does not restrict the sale of bottled drinks under 1 liter of mineral water in addition. The data shows Americans consume 50 million small bottle of mineral water or soda every year.

This idea has been carried out by a small town in Australia, Bundanoon, since 2009. A similar prohibition applies at 90 universities across the United States.

In an effort to save the environment, the small town of Concord, Massachusetts, USA, ban the sale of bottled mineral water in under 1 liter from January 1, 2013. These regulations come into force on a small plastic antibotol campaign echoed three years ago.

"In order for society to change, you have to create rules that force them to not buy small plastic bottles," said Jean Hill, chairman of the campaign team told the New York Times, Thursday, January 3, 2013. Instead of buying bottled water, people are encouraged to bring their own bottle or drink from the tap water is safe for human consumption.

When caught red-handed buying bottles under one liter, citizens will get a warning. If caught again, will be subject to a fine of U.S. $ 25 and increase to $ 50 for subsequent violations.
