eating too much for pregnant women can make baby in harmful condition

Some pregnant women sometimes still have the idea to eat for two. This thought should be eliminated, because pregnant women are eating too much can be harmful to the baby.
Researchers reveal the mother who has thought of eating for two people will eat the portions that are too much during pregnancy that can actually increase the risk of babies having a low IQ, eating disorders and psychosis.
This condition will make the mother experienced excess weight gain or obesity. Known to about 1 in 6 pregnant women classified as obese in the first 3 months of pregnancy, and the numbers will be more in the next few months.
Research published in international journal Obesity Reviews analyzing some findings from around the world on the impact of this weight to the child's development.
One study found children born to obese mothers have an average IQ of 5 points lower, a study from Sweden found that children born to mothers with overweight are more likely to suffer from attention deficit problems (attention deficit problems), while a study from Australia find any excess of a value of BMI in pregnant women increases the risk of eating disorders in children.
In previous studies has been known that maternal obesity during pregnancy can increase the risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, blood clots, miscarriage, birth weight babies, a cesarean delivery and the layer of fat that accumulates can create serious defects in babies is not visible during the scan.
"Many women still believe that eating for two people (eating for two) is a way to keep the baby in order to remain unmet nutritional, when in fact it can be dangerous especially if the diet is not unreasonable," said Tam Fry of the National Obesity Forum , as quoted by the Telegraph, Tuesday (28/06/2011).
Tam Fry said that pregnant women only need about 200 additional calories per day in the last trimester. If the intake of calories consumed each day of excess it can lead to obesity which will have implications for the mother and the baby.
For that expected women to have a healthy weight before pregnancy and eating a healthy and balanced diet during pregnancy without dieting during pregnancy.
